Give three (3) definitions of knowledge society
(1) Broadly speaking, the term “knowledge society” refers to any society where knowledge is the primary product resource instead of capital and labour.
It may also refer to the use a certain society gives to information.
A “knowledge society” creates, shares and uses knowledge for the prosperity and well being of its society.
(2) “Knowledge Society” is a society that creates, shares and uses knowledge for the prosperity and well-being of its people.
(3) Knowledge Society is one which places an explicit and principal value on knowledge as means to achieve economic and social well-being.
It is one which features knowledge prominently among the basic needs of all its citizens and wills all citizens to engage productively with knowledge.
